Default Dvd disk question

if you replace the dvd navi disc, say to a newer version, or even the same version, does your information still stay or does is all get washed out? like bluetooth phone book, favorite places, points of interest, etc.?

i ask this becasue i went in to get the TSIB one my navi disc, and they say they replaced the disc, but i look and its the same version, and all of my favorite places and bluetooth stuff are still on it. i think they jipped me. My logic is, its an 06 is, so no hard drive, and all the information would be stored on the disk?

any help would be great. thanks.

No, your information doesn't get cleared out when you change the navigation disc.

You'll be able to tell that they changed it to the TSIB version because the software override (Hit MENU then Volume then top left of screen then bottom left then top left again, then bottom left again) will be gone. If they didn't change the disc, it should bring you to a service menu. If they did change the disc, it will have no effect.

^What he said. I got that TSIB too, thinking they might throw in a newer map version, but no.

It's not a writable disc...
