with all the recent recalls and tsibs with our ISs, has anyone consider purchasing the extended warranty?

i'm really fully sure what he extended warranty covers but it seems to be that extra $1500 is alot safer then not having one ...

too many users on this forum seem to be out of luck because their warranty just went out and problems started to come up

Why not buy 3rd party warranty? It covers the same stuff as the Lexus warranty, but you don't fork out as much upfront.

I got extended warranty from MasterTech when I bought mine used. It covers until 100k or 3 years. I haven't claimed anything until now. Personally, I won't bother with extended warranty if you bought yours new and you take a good care of your car. I bought it because I bought a used car @48k.

If there is a recall, they need to fix the issue without any warranty involved. I could be wrong but recall issues are not customers' fault.

i live in canada is there a 3rd party warranty here too ?

so many problems in he US LHD cars
our RHD cars have no problems at all
iv been out of warranty for the last 40K kms
and not a single problem

If you know who to buy from (do a search) you don't pay any more for the genuine lexus one, and don't have any hassle when getting coverage by worrying about a 3rd party payor either.
