Default Headlight problems

Hey everyone,

Having some problems with my headlights. When I bought the car I could tell that one light was brighter than the other light.
I bought some bulbs off of Ebay and just had them installed and originally the brighter light (passenger side) was shining white and driver's side was Blueish/purple-ish tinted.

Now after about a week, the driver side light went out completely.

What's the most likely problem and how do I go about fixing it so I can get the same intensity and color from both lights?

Thanks, Z

if one light is brighter or a different color than the other it's most likely because the previous owner or whoever only swapped out one light instead of both at the same time. the age of the bulb (if they are Hid) can determine the hue and color of the hid. as the bulb ages you'll notice it'll slightly change color - so a brand new bulb might look different compared to one that is a year or so old. best way to get them to match is to replace both at the same time although it is more work and costs more money..as for the light going out completely, not sure about that..

maybe the ballast is shorting out and if you replaced both bulbs with new ones that don't match, it could be a quality issue..

I had that issue too when I was running OEM HID's. Driver's side always go out and not as bright as the Pass side. I switched to GARAX 6K bulbs on both sides and that did the trick.
