Alright well this was my plan:
I have: stock non-ml system with navi.
I want to add: 4080 enclosure, 1 JL 12w6v2, 1 JL 500/1 amp.

So I what I need to do is keep my stock factory 8"sub and use a LOC to connect it with my new amp which connects to my sub? Is that correct? Will I need anything else to make it work.

I want to retain everything - steering wheel controls, bluetooth, nav voice, and audio volume/settings on the stock nav unit.

Guide me =)

Ya I mean when I started messing with the stock amp nothing was touched. The Loc was tied in right next the the 8in woofer then ran to my Jl Amp. I dont see why you couldnt find the output from the stock amp running to the stock woofer and just tie in there? I would try and do that because I keep reading how those blow easily and why would you need it if your puttint a 12inW6 right behind it! All I needed was that one piece plus the amp kit of course. As for the steering wheel ya it wont change any of that you can still use all the factory stuff etc. After everything I did I still havnt lost anything up front like steering wheel, bluetooth, nav etc

Im running 2 12w6v2s with the factory mids and highs and after equalization (mid and highs all the way up bass all the way down and the gain on the amp turned up a little less then half) it sounds awesome.

Yea I mistyped what I said. I meant to say, I would have to connect the stock amp (not the 8" sub) to the new amp then to the new sub.

I would take the 8" stock sub out completely because I wouldn't need that there, but I have to keep the stock amp to keep all my factory settings right? Or can I take out both the stock sub and amp and just replace with new amp and sub.. or will that not work?

No you cant take out the stock amp because NAV bluetooth etc all runs through it first. By taking it out you would lose all of it yes. Keep the stock amp and just add your new amp/Sub. Just use the input from the stock sub and run it into the LOC which has rca outputs which runs to your aftermarket Amp giving it the low signal it needs which then runs to the aftermarket sub. Then just adjust the settings how u want depending how you want your sub to sound. If were using the same sub then ya it def sounds great in the car!! Forgot what amp your using but if its to big for the back seats this was the ony way I could mount it right without any custome work ( amp on top ha )
