FYI for those who didn't feel like reading through the PDF... In addition to AFS being gone, ALSO gone on 2011 models-

PCS (not available even optionally)

Memory seat for passenger (not available even optionally)

Trunk Oscillator

Video shows the passenger side 2011MY LED Lamp installed on a 2009 IS250. Driver side lamp is factory. It's crude, but the idea here is to show the plug in funciton of the headlamp assembly

Low beams 'On'
Hi beams 'On'
Parking Lamps 'On'
LED's 'On'

Turn signals 'Off'

2006 to 2008 IS model is next. The 09-10 was just more convenient to work with as we have an armada of IS loan cars. Now, I'll need to 'convince' one of our staff to lend me their 06-08 to butcher up a bit to make these LED lamps functional.

Cost - the cost of the headlamp set can be reduced by using your existing bulbs and lamp computer. the CATCH to the lamp computer (ballast) is for whatever reason, one cannot remove the computer because the braided cord going to the computer has a big plug on the other end. You can't fish out the plug without cutting a hole in the backside of your existing light. The lamp computers are expensive (so are the HID bulbs).

What's on our website now, is EVERYTHING. The entire kit and caboodle.

Over the next couple days (my in-laws are in town) I'll itemize the parts that can be kept and those parts that are required to be new. Once I've detailed the list will list the headlamp kit as Option A, Option B etc., depending on preference.

PCS is pre-collision system... it's radar cruise control plus some ECU-safety things related to it (like tightening the seatbelts if it thinks you're about to hit something)... probably the rarest option of all on the 2IS (and now gone for 2011).

Not sure exactly what the trunk oscillator is but seems related to the smartkey system as its deletion for 2011 is mentioned under that heading.

It's great we have made some progress. The LED stripe somehow look yellowish. Is it caused by the reflection of the original halogen DRL or is it yellow itself?

^^It's a nice solid "White".. I was playing with a 2011 IS250 at the delearship the other day...

Side Fact: with car off, one click on the headlight stalk Turns ON the Led Strip and Amber Led Parking Lamp

Darrel,

FYI - With a flat head screw driver and needle noise pliers, the "big silver plug" that locks into the HID Bulb, can easily be removed.. Once removed the wires will come right out with the ballast.. Then you have to carefully re-attach the plug correctly;

Granted, you have to know what your doing, but seriously its easier than it looks..

Default 11' Headlights fit

Just found this video on youtube. They never showed the finish product, but it looks like everything fits. I am sure the OEM headlights are very high price wise though.
