Hey guys,
I've been following this forum for a couple of months as I've been anticipating becoming an 2IS owner, and I'm now officially one!
I flew to Chicago last weekend (I live around Wichita, KS) and picked up an '06 Matador Red Mica IS350. It has the Luxury package, black-on-black with Navigation and ML.
Honestly Matador Red wasn't my first color choice, I was looking for SGM, but it was a good deal, 1 owner, very clean car, so I went for it. And the color's honestly really grown on me. It really is an incredible color in the sun.
I did my first mod (or hack really) a couple days ago by doing the rewiring on the back of the Nav unit so you can access some of the features while driving and also (my passengers can) watch DVDs.
I think my next mods will probably be window tint, and powder coating the wheels. The passenger side rims have some curb rash and wear on them, so I'm thinking about powder coating a glossy darker granite color (F-Sport wheel color), and adding spacers... for now, until I get new rims someday (Anyone know of a good powder coater in the Wichita area??) But the first thing I'm going to do is replace those front brake pads with some low-dust pads. That dust will drive me crazy.
Anyway, I've attached a photo below and wanted to say hey - I'm excited to be a part of the club!
