Guys, I just bought the kit from ddm tuning.. And earlier, quang gave me the link for DIY to install the hid but the problem is, there aren't any wiring harnesses used in the Walkthrough. therefore, I was just wondering if someone have another DIY Walkthrough that contains how to install the harnesses.

Thx a lot

I'm not 100% sure about this but i'm pretty sure you just hook the wiring harness into the ballast, and there's 2 wire coming from the wiring harness, the negative you ground it and the positive you hook it up to the battery. and thats it! diy not really necessarily. if you're still confuse i can take a pics of my install tomorrow.

Yeah, that's pretty much all there is to it.

Here is an absolutely horrible diagram on how it's wired up.

surely i forgot something, but that's the gist. once you get the bumper off, it's pretty simple. Basic wiring knowledge is more than enough to get this install done.

i just remember, you dont need a wire harness just looked at my installation and notice that there wasn't a wire harness. it's just a plug and play setup.

no you dont need to jack up your car to take off your bumper, you just need to take off a bunch of screws.

It depends on the ballasts that you are using. If you are using a high draw ballast you may experience intermittent issues with lights not igniting if you do not use a relay harness.

I'm currently using a xtreme xenon depot ballast for my fogs and i haven't had any problem yet, before that i was using an after market ballast and i rarely have any problems, they mostly occur during the winter.

I'm using all DDM 8k's at 35 watts, I had flicks on the fogs. Some have trouble, some don't. The harness literally takes 15 min to wire up.

Do you have to disconnect the battery before installing?

Also, would 8000K for fog be too blue?

You should disconnect the negative terminal from the battery in order to avoid electric shock.

8000k will provide intense blue color output but it will not be as functional as a 4300k or 5000k. Higher color tempertaure HID kits are rated at less lumens than lower color temperature kits.
