thanks man!
i ended up asking them to turn my DRLs off!
but that's a good thing to know tho that DRLs are never on with low beams~ that means you'll never have HIDs mixed with yellow lights~ (that's if you changed to LED parking lights)
ahhhhh the dealership called me back saying they can't turn the DRLs off cause it's illegal in canada
only in the states is it legal to drive without DRLs
oh well~ at least the DRLs will never turn on when my HIDs are on!
To the people that live in Cali, when do you actually use your high beams? I can't remember of a time I used them in the last 5 years, other than to blind people with.

Well yeah, to blind people. That ability is important to me. It's why I put Silverstar Ultras in my high beams, so they really get their retinas burned. Eff people who drive 55 MPH in the fast lane.
I also drive through rural roads fairly often so that's also a big help to me.

I see people use their high beam when they want to race.

Are those brighter than stock? Stock high beams are crazy bright, can't imagine them being any brighter!
I had my 9005 DRL function disabled by the dealer. So the Silverstar Ultras only come on when my high beams are on (for rural driving), or when I'm flashing slow drivers on the freeway. I considered HID high beams but heard the constant on and off when you flash is bad for ballasts.
I use my LED parking lights and a custom LED strip by the fogs as DRL's now:
