Press the "MENU" button, then the "Map DVD" button on the top right of the screen. You'll see the version there. On an '07, I expect you'll find map version 6.1. As CWS cautioned, be careful not to press the "Eject" button on that screen, or you'll need to pop off the clock face (using the special pair of pin tools in the toolkit) and re-insert the DVD before your nav will work again.
thanks!
so have they come out with a new version every year? so there's 7,8,9, and 10 being the newest?
Yeah, I too like the removal of the "I Agree" buttons, and the Bluetooth syncs very fast! Almost right after the LEXUS splash screen! I did also notice wayyyy more street names and local POI's (ATM's, etc...). Overall, nice update.

Do you also notice smoother map scrolling as you drive like the OP?

Yes, a new version every year. 5.1, 6.1, 7.1, 8.1, 9.1 and the latest is 10.1. There was also a special TSIB disc for the '06 cars to fix the loss-of-GPS-lock issue -- that disc has the same software as the 6.1 discs, combined with the older 5.1 maps.

so if I have version 7.1 I could still benefit from 8.1 or 9.1 right? Anyone selling the older discs for cheap?
