I got around to installing my 6000k lows, and fogs yesterday and I am very disapointed. I know that there will be a diffrence in color due to the projector/reflector but these seem way off. Also the hid kit for the fogs said 6000k on the box, but inside everything was labeled 5000k and after emailing the distributor I was told this was a mislabel and the kit was 6000k.

To me the lows look way to purple, and the fogs look very 5000k.

Let me know if I'm just trippin here, or is my point valid.

These are supposedly the same kit from the same retailer, installed at the same time?

Most likely the product of aftermarket junk, as most HID kits are. Different lots may yield considerably different results.

If your headlights had been using those 6000k bulbs for a while, then they may have aged and became bluer as you see in that picture, causing a new 6000k kit to look very white by comparison.

The difference in housing (projector vs reflector) would not result in such a drastic difference.

The fogs may also be 5000k, as labeled.
Those lows are VERY purple looking. It may also be possible that those are also packaged incorrectly. It may be your camera settings, but I have never seen anything that purple

The lows are not a kit, they are just the bulb. I installed both of these myself yesterday, so they have been on for the same amount of time. And as far as the camera, these pics are very close to what they look like in real life.

The lows are very purple, and dont have that much light output.

These are not ebay cheapos, they were purchased from a cl vendor.

Thanks for the responce, I will be contacting the vendor now that I am sure there is something wrong here.
