06 IS350 - How Do I Pop My Tail Lights Out?
I just got my red vinyl from Lex Tuners and i wanna red them out already, and all the DIY threads I see just show you how to add the tape, not pop the tail light out.

For redding out the tail lights, are you guys putting the vinyl on the outside, just slapping it on there?
Or taking the plastic covering out and putting it on the inside?
Plz help, I want to do this this morning

you don't need to pop your tail lights out in order to apply the vinyl
as you've said, people open the trunk and just wrap the vinyl around the amber area
use soap water and wet the vinyl and just stick it on and slide the vinyl around until it covers the amber part nicely and use a hair dryer to heat it up a bit so it sticks
don't heat it up too much tho or the vinyl will melt and wrinkle

i just did mine yesterday and you don't notice unless you go up close to the lights and pay attention to them

you probably don't even notice them on the pictures
but yes.. if you think about it.. it does seem like a cheap mod that ppl can point and laugh at on a nice car like the 2IS
the other thing you can do is actually buy aftermarket tail lights or get the IS-F tail lights to get rid of the amber
but that would cost way more and ppl just end up applying the vinyl for the cheap price
having an 06 model makes it a lot easier
09-10 models are much harder to do
