18 Yrs of Driving and Now a Tint Ticket ????
#16
I've only got 50% tint all the way around (minus windshield of course). I don't think I will ever get ticketed and if i do I can prove it's well within limits. During the day I sometimes wish it were slightly darker, but at night I definately see how very dark tint could limit visibility. It's easy to not care until something that happens like your kid gets run over on his bike because a driver can't see him after sundown (and its been a while, but I have heard of accidents / fatalities caused by this). I've also heard that one of the legal excuses against tint is that it affects the ability of the glass to shatter as it is designed for safety, which I can certainly believe, but if that were really the reason they would just make it illegal period instead of caring how dark it is (so I'll call BS there).

You can complain about it all you want, but that won't change the fact that you got a ticket. Sometimes you gotta' pay to play. But why do you want to drag a licensed medical person into this mess by lying?? That is being selfish, and isn't right. Fight your own battles but don't lie about it.
