Wow there are a lot of posts about interior rattles. I have a really annoying one that seems to be coming from the plastic piece that surrounds the navigation screen. Lightly pressing on the piece emits the noise too, which can best be described as a light, cheap-sounding surface rattle that can only come from plastic. Since the panels surrounding the piece are tight I'm not sure what's actually causing the noise, other than the jarring of the chassis when going over bumps.
I don't want the dealer to claw it to pieces because the rest of the dash is relatively quiet. Is there any way to pop off that bezel, or remove the nav/center stack piece altogether to line the back of it with felt? Or is this just a bad design that will get creakier over time?
Thanks for any help/advice!
