Proud new owner of two 2010 IS 250 AWDs with NAV. Question about the phone:
I am able to connect my Droid Incredible, but off and on, the dialpad grays out so I can not dial by number or by contact. The phone is still connected, however, because when I push the connect button, it asks if I want to disconnect.
Any ideas why this is happening?

Is the vehicle in motion or is it stopped when you see the gray out? Welcome aboard also, 2 2010 IS's huh? Congrats

They grey out when ever the car is in motion. It is a pain in the ***. you have to pull over and make your changes, dial a number or do anything associated with the nav. You can however in motion navigate your phone and make the call that way.

EYea thats normal u need the nav hack i think
btw u do have speed dial that works even when the car is in motion

without the nav hack, and with the car in motion, you can:

1. use 1 of the 15 preset speed dials,
2. dial by voice. it may be a pain to speak out 10 numbers, and assuming you remember the phone number.
3. dial using your HTC - the sound will still go thru the speakers and mic in the car.

You may also dial by name ex. " Call Bob" Works for me. I am one of the few people that the gray out does not bother. I still think users should have an option to disable it though.

Thanks everyone! I appreciate the quick responses. Weird, because as I was driving, sometimes the dialpad would show. Where do you find the NAV hack?
