Why would i lie about this evogt500? If Lexus has changed to the non-fresnel type, doesn't mean they can't use up their old old stocks in, say an 2010 car.

^^^^^I agree. I'd like to see some pictures too. I have 2008 and they are not crystal clear; they are Fresnel.

It's hard to see through the plastic but the best shots i have made.

Top pic is cloudy, middle and last is clear.

Thanks for the pictures. It does seem like they are clear, however its really hard to tell without looking a them closely. I wonder if you can take some more pics. Maybe with the camera in macro mode and as the same angle as the first pic.

Btw, I am hoping you are right about the clear type. I dont mean to flame or anything.

How are these?

Note: I had to turn on lights cos the plastic is really hard to see thru.

^ Have you compared the actual output? Against a wall or something?

The second pic definitely looks clear. (nice photography). The first pic looks really really cloudy, almost like there is haze on it. Anyways, I would love to hear everyone elses thoughts on this. Also more pics from different owners would be ice as well.

Btw, did your is250 originally come with OEM HID's?

Nah mine doesn't have oem HIDs.

That said you cannot tell the output different between the two. If i were to guess, the clearer type gives it a futher projection but i think this is due to the missalignement of the headlights.

I'm not too fussed about the lenses cos i have the output that i wanted...HID bright.

My windows are dirty so these are not the best pics.

Oh, well then I guess it doesn't matter. I thought there would be a sharper cutoff or something.

I have ask my friend to make some pictures:

Not the best picture, but in real there is much more difference between the 2 lenses.

old

new

It seems like both are fresnel, but the new one is more clear.

The fresnel design could not be seen on the naked eye in real, while the old one is a fresnel type of lens for sure. This might be due to to angle of th picture taken above.

How about turning on the lights? My pics gave a clear distinction (with 6000K i might add).

it looks the same as yours when the lights are on. the new one looked very clear (without fresnel look a like), while the old one looked like hazed and ribbed.
