Default Lame or No Lame, You Decide

Thinking of buying an aftermarket carbon fiber engine cover, and then an F-Sport Badge and sticking it on there instead of the official F-Sport Engine Cover.

Why does it matter if people think its lame or not lame? If you like it then get it.

Since you asked though, the thought of getting carbon fiber engine cover that only get shown at oil changes are pretty lame already, getting a non F sport one and badging it as F sport, cept no one will see it just as the real one, is even more lame.

If the car goes to show then its okay I guess, show cars have a rule that normal lame stuff on road cars are okay for show cars

I would not try to be what it's not.
Buy the CF cover if you like it, but don't put the "F" badge on there.

The question is, what F-Sport parts do you have?

It's a cheaper option than buying the F-sport Carbon Fiber cover, but putting on Fsport badge to make it look like an F-sport Carbon Fiber is like putting on stickers to your replicas.

Do what you want man. If you wanna save some bucks for other goodies later then by all means.. It's your car, who gives a flying " F " what anyone else thinks as long as your happy with it. We all fix our cars to suit us or for our " OWN " gratification not for peer acceptance or to appease the heard.

But if your doing it for Car Shows or competition then that's another story...

Well, they're both technically the same thing. Go for it...

It's better than some if the people I see going around in a 250 with 350 badge.

I know you weren't directing this at me but I wanted to tell you that saying this could not have come at a better time for me.....

As for the cover, I say go for it. It would look cool.

What kind of price difference are we talking about here? (I honestly don't know)

If you really want the F-sport, than you may not be happy with the "lookalike" and end up buying both. Only you can decide what you're happy with.
