4 wheels/tires of the same size and directional tires:
(AWD 250s with certain tires)
You can rotate only front-back on the same side of the car

IF YOU HAVE:
4 wheels/tires of 2 DIFFERENT sizes and directional tires:
(most RWD 250/350s are like this)
You CAN NOT rotate at all without dismounting and remounting the tires, which isn't worth doing.

IF YOU HAVE:
4 wheels/tires of 2 DIFFERENT sizes and NON directional tires:
(some RWD 250/350s with some tires)
You can rotate wheels, but only left to right on the same axle.
Thanks for the clearification!

Sorry to resurrect this old thread but I thought when you have a staggered set up swapping out tires left/right at the front and back will make them wear out evenly and possibly extend the tire life? Why is it not worth doing? Is it because of the cost or dismounting and mounting again?

I think you missed the part about if your tires are directional or not.

if they are it's not worth doing because you'd need to pay to actually remove the tires from the rims and mount them on the opposite rim, which is probably not worth doing.

that's example 3 in my post you quote.

if they're non-directional then you can swap them left to right yourself for free, and yes that's probably worth doing.

That's example 4 in the post.

I was surprised to see that my stock 17" wheels on my 250 RWD MT were all the same width and offset.
Not that i mind since they're my winter wheels and i run 245/45/17 all around.

I'd have sworn the RWD 250 comes with 225s on the front and 245s on the back with the stock 17s (from the factory anyway)

And sure enough, that's what lexus.com says they come with too.

That's what it is but the size of wheels is the same on all 4 corners.
I misspelled the tire siZe, I'm actually running 225/45 all around for my winters...same as awd guys I guess.
Since the wheels are all the same it didn't really matter but the offset in the back is pretty awefull.

You are correct, but the wheel widths are the same at all four corners at 8" wide:

"17 x 8.0-in 10-spoke alloy wheels with 225/45VR17 all-season tires front, 245/45VR17 all-season tires rear "

The above are the specs from the Lexus web site.

Yeah, I knew that, was the tire issue that was confusing since the OP said he had 245 all around... (which he then corrected)
