Maybe we can use some of his rice to give my car a new look! Rice flakes in the paint!

I am going to be getting a quote soon for how much it is going to be...

I got a 400 dollar quote to clear bra my hood fully and a 250 dollar quote for tinting my rear half of the car.

Should I get the front windows tinted too so the car doesn't look weird? NJ Tint laws don't let you tint the front but screw the popo. They said they use 3M scotchtint. Is that any good?

My front bumper has a lot chips can I get that fixed or should I just buy a new bumper and get it painted?

I know pricing differs from area to area but $250 seems a bit much just for the half rear of the car. My dad charges around $200 at most for a 4 door car and using solargard film. I just looked up the 3m scotchtint stuff and apparently it's clear? So, for that amount of money just tinting the rear is fine but for black film I would go all around 35%.

No need to buy a new bumper if it's just rock chips. The shop should just sand down the chips (feather edging), paint, and reclear the whole thing. With decent paint and clear should be around $250-300.

$250 for just the front half does seem pricey, unless your installer is the BEST in your area.

Yup from what I hear they are the best! I might hold off on the bumper for a few months so I can afford to have it clear bra'd as well.

^ That's a VERY, very good idea. Make sure you let your paint cure before clearbra-ing, of course. Just let your car sit in the sun for a while and keep it off the freeways.

I got a small problem...To get to my house from the shop I have to drive on the freeway for a good 30 minutes. I was thinking of using painters tape but that might be too much for the paint. Any suggestions? I am going to get the hood clearbra'd as soon as it cures.
