Yes, he does have a point, and I'd love to get the real thing. Honestly.

But some of us really ARE cheap....*looks around* especially ME!

I'm not being a hater or a down, as mention in my previous post, I think it was a great contribution but in my opinion, I don't like to do thing's "halfa$$" for the lack of a better word.

Or maybe I should have gotten a Civic for $15K. I betcha I could have afforded all the authentic mods I could dream of!

*runs off to Craigslist to check out Civics*
I own a few other car and am current half way to getting my Doctorate and becoming a doctor. $60 is hardly going to break the bank. I have a Mr2 Spyder as well with the Lotus swap. I'm quite well known for the swap as well, recieving car's from as far as Washington state and having them shipped to me here in Chicago to do the swap. I haven't taken any short cuts on that car either. Or my other cars. As mention before as well, I build this car's everyday. The current IS I'm driving was smashed and I've rebuilt it.

That rain is really holding you back. Just buy a big umbrella and spray under it

Congrats on this, I wish you luck!

True, $60 isn't going to break the bank. But I think for experiment's sake and for the easy reversibility of it, I think quite a few people may like to try PlastiDip...juuuuuust in case they aren't sure if they want it permanent.

Heck, I change my mind every hour or so. Which is why I haven't done it myself yet!

^^ @Relaxfoo Just in time for winter! What colour is the car?

I've got to get my winter rubber put on the rims on Saturday morning at the tire shop.

Then Sunday is Plastirama!!! If anyone is super bored in Calgary area, come down for the experiment(s).

I'd say do it. if it looks terrible, just peel it off ya turkey (as spoken by Dr. Steve Brule [look it up on youtube if you don't get it])

I'm also going to do that hideous yellow spare. I had to use it this summer when I shredded my stock rubber, most embarrassing 100km of my life. It's basically a warning that you're an idiot, GTFO

Personally I think the hate comments come from reiterating the same thing over and over again (regardless of whether it's coming from the same person). I have no problem with constructive criticism (I've never even used Plastidip product, so I have nothing invested in this thread), but after the 5th comment of someone saying it's cheap or not authentic or it won't last...it gets a little old (and does little to add to the value of the thread).

Regardless of whether this is a product that will work long term or short term, I could see some potential applications...even if it's to get an idea of whether or not you would like a different color badges before you drop the dough (or some very temporary winter protection).

Anyway...keep those pictures coming!
