heres my contribution to this monster of a thread
had time to kill after finding a 3 inch gash on my inner side wall, 2-3 days to get new tires so i decided to paint my rims
put half a can into one rim so far to make sure this stuff lasts
gona let it sit till morning, then off to the tire shop :/

i'm waiting for my grille surround to dry
it has a lot of bubbles though..
thinking of peeling it and redoing it tomorrow though
how do you guys get your grille surround to be so smooth?!???
sigh

hahahaha ^^^
i know what you mean, i completely messed mine up.
I tried the grill surround and all the rear emblems.
ended up peeling them all off because when i ripped off the surrounding paint, it peeled off from the emblems and grill surround as well.
I wonder how everyone does it so nicely.

ˆˆˆthats wierd yours has bubbles. mines isnt that smooth, there's like a slight gritty texture to it. almost like a fine sand paper. but it still looks cool though. the trick when taking out the extra plastidip is to take your time, especially around the edges of the emblem and grill. i came close to ripping mines off the emblem but i had an exacto knife handy and cut out where the plastidip was riping. then i just stuck the plastidip back onto the emblem, lol. it still looks good. i also took my time when spraying, put on a decent layer, waited, then applied 3 more. it took awhile.
however the problem that i currently see with mine is that on my grill theres a slight overspray on the right corner, so it has a spot of little bit darker shade of grey. i may or may not spray it again over the next weekend. depends if i get lazy or what.
