Just came back from a Lexus dealership after an oil change. Anyway plastiDip emblems WILL SURVIVE a Dealership car wash. Those bastards, I told them no car wash and they still did it anyway.

PS They wanted to charge me $55 to change some rusted up license plate screws, but only if they needed to drill out the rusted screws out...yea OK I'll do it myself thanks for nothing.

I don't know why but i kept fail doing the IS250 emblem part
others were kinda okay.....
but everytime i tried to tear off the rubber outside i will always pull a little bit of the word down..
makes it really ugly because the rubber layer is not stuck on the word now

does anyone have the same situation as me =\?

@silentwish
Haha well I guess its really not a "cure" time..... but I thought the heat would be related. Guess that's a plus to plastidipping, if it turns out crappy, peel off and redo haha

Try cleaning the emblem with alcohol, if that doesn't to it you'll have to ruff up the surface a bit, use like 1000 grit sand paper and give it something to grab on too

EDIt for the guy with the wheel, you should apply it when the new tire is installed. The machine that mounts the tire will rip it off a little on the edge. Looks sweet though

Very nice!

How many coats did you use per wheel and how many cans?

Default plasti-dippin on stockies...

Used almost a full 3 cans for the whole project. I did a light sprinkle over each wheel, then a full 3 wet coats. Came out really good, a couple small flaws where it looks like there might have been water still on the wheel. :-/ but barely noticeable, (only if you look for it)

oh, and I didn't mask the tires off, and you can't notice the spray onto the tire, I just tried not to spray much onto the tire...

and yaya, I know it's dirty and bird poop on the hood. But this is about muh wheels
