For those of you who are thinking of putting clear plastic dip on their hood, bumper, as a replacement for a clear bra or bumper aplique, I wouldnt. I worked with clear plastic dip before and it has a rough texture to it. It will attract dirt, oil, insects and whatever comes flying at your car. Those debris will not be able to come off and will most likely stain the coating. Also, the suns UV rays might just yellow it in a fast period of time.
Yes you can just peel it off and re-apply it but do you want to do it every other week?
I was referring to using it for road trips It would only be on the car a few hours for driving and it would be removed when I arrive.

I wasnt directing it only at you. I am sure other were thinking the same thing but as a permenant solution. However, permanent or temporary, I still wouldnt want to risk damaging my hood with a $7 can of paint. Remember that spray cans use chemicals and aerosol which can potentially be harmful to the clear coat finish.
But if you must, try it. Tells us the hopefully good results.
Well I picked a can up yesterday and coated my emblems and front grill. Everything turned out great, and I love the look. I went to take pictures this morning, but my camera battery was dead. I'll change it tonight and post some up tomorrow. I'm very pleased with the outcome.
