I've skimmed through most of the posts and the other day I PlastiDipped my grill and rear emblems. I really want to do the chrome around the windows but i'm concerned about longevity.

1) Will this stuff last for many years?? Even in florida heat and humidity?
2) If it starts to get crappy, will it always peel off, even on the plastic chrome parts?

If someone can answer these two questions it will determine whether I 'dip' tomorrow or not. Thanks!

Not sure how many years it'll last but some people went threw a few car washes and it's still on there.

You can always peel it off when you don't like the look anymore and it won't damage any parts surrounding it.

Just do it. You can easily peel it off if you dont like it.

Plasti dip on the window trim is the hardest part on the car to spray, gotta peel it VERY carefully. but it holds well.

Nice work. Your badges make me wonder if anyone with a 250 shifted the characters around to make is say "2IS".

Planning to do this weekend.

Thanx for DIY !!!

Update:

I started with rear L, came out pretty good, i was so happy and start doing 2 bottom ones.
For some reason first layer was bubbly, so other ones look crappy also.
It's not all, once i start pilling off around letters/numbers it start pilling off emblems.

Looks like i followed all the steps
Cleaned with soap & water, after it dry
I cleaned with alcohol. Let it dry

Not sure what i did wrong....

Thanx for advise.
