Awesome job man. I just had mine painted, but the way you did is much more cost effective and it's reversible...nice!

I found this on the shelf of Home Depot - I was surprised it was so easy to find, lol.

Gonna give this a project a shot next week.

Update:

I started with rear L, came out pretty good, i was so happy and start doing 2 bottom ones.
For some reason first layer was bubbly, so other ones look crappy also.
It's not all, once i start pilling off around letters/numbers it start pilling off emblems.

Looks like i followed all the steps
Cleaned with soap & water, after it dry
I cleaned with alcohol. Let it dry

Not sure what i did wrong....

Thanx for advise.
The more coats, the less chance of it peeling off the letters. I did 4 coats but i'd say do at least 3 coats, waiting for at least 15 mins between each coat. How many coats did you do?

IIRC, couple of members have tried, but i don't think they had lasting results. I know this is a massive thread, but it's been mentioned in here.

After doing it 2-3 times i figure out what's my issue.
I was doing first coat very thick and after that other one's were "bubbly".

Now, it looks pretty good, i'll post picture later.

^^That is fresh..Was wondering what it would look like on a black car, I never liked emblems. I shaved them off on my g35. Since the IS has two v6s I figure id leave it alone.
