Good thread. I was wondering how people made their emblems black. Will try this.

Any pics of the finished product on the grill and rear emblems from farther away? Not sure if I want my stuff black or polished like it is.
I had an eclipse then sold that. We had an ES350 here but I sold it after a tragedy. & Then I got my new IS350 F.

I do not have any other pictures from farther away but I will get some soon. Some pictures of the rear are below!

Also If you could send me a picture of your invidia midpipe. I want to see how far it goes to the cats.

Thanks....Love the sound of the Greddy and Invidia mid's.

Rasta, do you have your rear emblems sprayed along with your front grill?

I am about to go get some pictures for you. They will be posted here by the end of today.

The invidia looks nice. Thinking about getting one. Also thinking of going lower_. Emblems are nice though.

Man ... thats a minimal masking job right there!!!! Make sure you didn't get any overspray on the paint... If you did, just clay bar it and it'll come right off (Then wax IMMEDIATELY!)

Here's my work. Took forever to peel the plastic off around the IS 250.

I didn't have enough time to do the grill; I'll probably do it this weekend.

My advice:

1)Prep very well! You don't want to get over spray all over your car. It comes off but it's just a hassle.
2)Shake the can up real well, at least one minute. Take a few practice spays on a piece of cardboard before you spray your car. Reshake the can before you apply a new layer. I held the can about 6 inches away from the car. Apply light layers and build with each layer.
3)Take your time. Wait 15 minutes between layers. Make sure you get every nook and cranny with each pass. I did 3 passes per layer: top, middle, and bottom. I waited an hour after the last coat was applied before I started peeling away.
4)Take your time when you are peeling the rubber off. Last thing you want to do is peel the rubber off your emblems and have to redo them. I used toothpicks to help me peel the rubber.

Loving it man. Love the tile roof. Have no need for those here, but they look great!

Thanks for the daytime pics on the grill. Looks great on the blue. Do you have to do any removel of the spray on the grill? Or you all just spraying everything on the front grill?

How hard would it be to remove the Plastidip from the grill if I wanted to later down the road? I've got a lease because I did not think I would like the IS250 so much (Honda guy all my life, love the Lude!) but I really like the IS250 and plan on keeping it now or giving it to my wife down the road.
