Trying to decide bt steel(90%) or tint(95%). Does anybody have a side by side comparison of these on an sgm? There were too many threads that said they had them tinted when they are actually smoked and stuff so its just confusing trying to figure out whats what. If you have the overlays from aerotect, could you please help me out and post up a pic?

This is mine...not aerotect, but might give you an idea of how tint would look.

im considering getting yellow overlays but the '11 fogs arent as easy to install as i thought. there is a black plastic housing around the light. taking it off is a pain...remove the entire bumper for fog overlays? crazy!

Finally got the overlays and redouts. Now to install them. Has anybody here installed them with no prior experience? I watched the installation video on aerotects site, but just wanted to know how hard it was for first timers to install. Gonna do it in a couple hours.

It's actually easy to install.

1. Just mix a simple soap/water solution. I used 1% Johnson & Johnson baby shampoo and 99% water.

2. Clean your car well or at least the part where you want to install the overlay.

3. Spray the solution on part.

4. Spray solution on your hands and peel tint.

5. Spray solution on the overlay tint (both sides).

6. Slide the pieces to fit.

7. Use a squeegee and start from the middle... work your way to the outer edges. Make sure to squeegee well so you don't leave your bubbles.

8. Use a hair dryer if you are having problem. This will stretch the tint a bit to allow it to fit around a part. When it cools, it will shrink to hug the piece.

9. Make sure you hands are clean and you are doing in a clean area such as inside garage.

Let it sit for a day to or at least 8 hour to settle in. Last thing you want is to have a piece lift off while driving.

Currently, I am stuck between optic blue, steel, and tint. Keep in mind I have a Smokey Mica Granite. Also if you want to post a picture of a SGM with any one of these overlays feel free to do that as it will help!
