why not just spend 25k and get an 06-07 is350 now? Or if your going to wait until next year and spend 45k on a 2011 is350, then just spend 38k on an 08 ISF next year.

if you get a car next year i suggest you look for a low milelage 2010 is350 instead of buying a new 2011 which is hella expensive, unless you want the led drls there is no upside to buying a 2011, the front bumper of the 2011 is disgusting especially without the new gfx front lip, but if you like it by all means go for it...i would def get a lexus instead of the beamer mainly because realiblility of the lexus is much better, good luck with your decision hope all goes well

If only I had rich parents as well.

As for the 350 Lexus vs 3 series BmW (there's already a mega thread for this?) I say neither. If you get a Lexus next year, you'll regret it once the 3rd Gen IS comes out in 2012 and you're stuck with an older Gen car for the next 4/5 years while everyone else moving to the next best thing. I don't plan on keeping my 2IS long, I' just waiting for the 3IS to come out.

^^^it all depends on how the new styling for the 3IS turns out, for example my friend bought a tsx back in late 08 right after the 09s came out, he hated the new style tsx's inside and out, he much preferred the 04-08 models mainly cuz of looks. even now after the new TSX's have been out for about 2 years he still prefers the older models just because they look nice, it is hard to say until the 2011 models actually come out, personally i dont know how they will better the current IS's as they are already sexy as hell

but I rather have the option of deciding than buy something now and regret it later if the 3IS improve over the current one. lol. Plus the 2IS > the 1IS in terms of look.

The latest TSX looks pretty good actually with a kit. It wasn't appealing at first release, but now with the latest release, I like it more than the older TSX.
Also the G37 > the played out G35 any day.

yea the only downside is that he will have to wait until the 3gIS to actually come out, but you never know mayb he will hate the new styles , i personally like the old TSX over the new ones but this is all personal preference, and def the G37>G35 of course

and 07-08 TL exterior>new TL exterior, but the interior def improved

honestly if you want a fast reliable car your options are audi lexus bmw and mercedes lexus best interior great looks
audi also good interior good looking
mercedes cmon its a mercedes nice interior great looks
bmw ok interior nice looks
Audi, BMW, and Mercedes should not be in the same sentence with "reliable".

i agree with Phresh. Some people prefer the looks of the previous generation cars. I still like the 04-08 Acura TLs over the 09s n up. The new TLs look awful. If i threw up n put 4 wheels on it, it would look like the current TL design.

The IS350 vs 335i has been a great debate. If your looking for a sedan, I would go with the IS350. Interior is nicer and looks much better than the bmw sedan.

But for a coupe, the 335i looks freaking sweet. looks very aggressive. I think BMW also covers maintenance for 4 years so that is pretty cool.

In terms of performance, I'd go with the 335i. If your looking to have some money left over in your pocket to fill up your gas tank, i'd get the IS350. but since your parents are going to be buying u the car ... i'd say get the GTR !

335i all day everyday!!!
Get it, you'll regret later when your driving in your 350 and you realize you want more power!!
I sure did.
