I called Sewell this week, inquiring about my 06, and they modify the wiring harness and you can install in 06 and up.
As far as the LED... I was going to put in the Vaistech VLINE, because it looks very nice... but I wasn't going to put it on the outside of my headlight. But when I got it, it didn't come with good instructions, and the connections stick way out, and it's not flexible....
I added this one instead.

PS... Has anyone figured out how to disable the stock DRLs and still have them function as high-beams? I can't decide if they look bad with the brighter LED lights added.

^ And if your dealer says it's impossible (which they often do apparently), show them this thread: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...echstream.html

Looks like there are two kits on sewell, one for halogen, one for HID. Which one works for aftermarket HIDs?

HID to HID w/ LED kit... NOT the halogen to HID kit...
The halogen to HID kit comes with ballast/Bulbs. (Which you already have)
edit!- actually you DO need the halogen to his kit as your hid bulbs are a different size than stock hid.

Not true. The aftermarket HID kits use H11 bulbs whereas factory HID's use D4S bulbs. Two completely different headlight housings. If you have aftermarket HID's that means you have H11 housings, so you would need the Halogen to HID kit.

I'm thinking that there would be two options for the DRLs after adding the LED strips at the bottom of the headlights:
1. Disable them completely.
2. Replace em' w/similar color LEDs so they look good with the LED strips
Those with experience.... Which would be the most easy... Which would be the least expensive... and which do you think would look best???
Also, am I looking for warm white or cool white for the LED strips?
Just brainstorming here.
Thanks

At first I was thinking about my tails, but when I saw what I have ('08 IS250), I'm content, but do find the 2011 headlights nice!

I think the '06-'08 tails look the best. Not really feeling the newer tails. I just bought 2 used 2011 LED headlights off of ebay and will be installing them soon. I know it's just a matter of changing the wiring around in the connector to get them to work.
