Default Oil Changes

I am nearing my 40,000 service which I believe is only an oil change but I was wondering if dealerships use synthetic oil when they change our oil? I usually go to Prestige Lexus.

You can request synthetic, give them a call and ask. They have to have synthetic, some new models come with synthetic from the factory. You may even be able to bring your own oil. You could same a couple bucks by getting Mobil 1 at Wally World. I'm in NJ and if you don't know how to do it yourself send me an PM, I can show you.

Do you guys think synthetic is worth it?

I would do it myself but I am short on time with school and a full time job.

Just buy your own oil, that way you know what's going in your car.
