imo: there are 2 location designed to take the weight of the car, the lift points and the control arms directly under the strut, this is unsafe thou cuz its not a stable area to hold the stand properly. The frame of the car is not designed to take a load like that *i think* so i never put stands there even thou it would fit better than anywhere else... damm the Y stands... if i could only find stands with the top of the stock jack ontop it would be so much easier...
whenever jacking up more than one corner of your car, always support it by the frame of the car, don't use those stupid tabs. those are just meant for the mini jack's that come with the car
This is how I do it too. Use the floor jack on the pinch welds (or tabs) to lift the car up and use jack stands on the frame rail.
For as much as use a floor jack to lift the car, non of my tabs are bent.
Where is the frame rails exactly I don't remember anywhere that was sturdy and flat to be supported by the Y jack, anyone have pics of where it is front and rear.

They're toward the inner part of the car. If you look underneath past the tabs, you'll see a metal rail that'll fit the Y-shaped part of the stands perfectly.

Are you placing the Y parallel or perpendicular to that metal rail? Thanks for the help.
^^^hey your're Chinese too. I knew a frat bro from New York named Trix. Wondering if you are the same dude, haha. Anyway, mine are smaller because I was going for the straight decal look. You should see how small my rear stickers are.
nah not the same dude, trix is just one of the many names i use
frame rails, look under your car, you'll see to 2 long pieces of metal *imagine* train tracks that run from behind the engine/trans to the rear of the car.
So I did a search here and read that some one put the jack stands at the control arms.
My bad, that was me who posted about using the control arms. I figured since they are designed to hold the weight of the car it made sense, but yes, it's a little unstable putting Y jacks in that location. Like many posting here, I didn't want to screw up those tabs. Something I did differently was removing the stands each side at a time instead of front then back.

+1, I remember feeling under the car and everything felt soft and/or hollow. Didn't want to risk causing any damage.
