Get the harness, it's easy PNP. It's like changing a fuse and putting a higher wattage one, would you do that?

you know why ppl are having problems, they running too low/too aggressive offsets/making holes in their liners and not doing anything to patch that hole up... drive in the rain and moisture gets in~ BAM messed up fogs and of course blame the bulbs...

SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME! HAH! I'm so done with my car though, I don't even care anymore... But I remember looking at it and then sure enough my other one is out... It's whatever now, I'm scrapping my IS350. Too many little problems, but probably didn't help that I didn't stick with OEM, lol.

@ IXI - it was not nice to say "dont post this, this is clearly user error".....look at the website for Nok7610- these are 55w bulbs ....I would not be dumb enough to put in higher wattage without taking precautions, when I had researched them I noted them to be the proper wattage. I even called them up today (they are local to me btw) and they told me, yes they are 55w bulbs with a "70w" looking output - marketing....they will research this and get back to me, whatever. I initially posted this as many of us get these and perhaps people should either get a harness or get a different brand or whatever.
Here is the nokya website so you can CLEARLY see you are wrong

BTW - my bulbs are stamped 55W

It's not user error. I had these bulbs on my 2006 IS350 before i sold it for an 08 IS350. Needless to say the same thing happen to me, it took about 6 months but i noticed that the passenger side went out and not the drivers side. I pulled the fender well cover to find that it did the same thing and melted the harness. Do a search it's has happened to numerous people but only appears to be happening on the passenger side and not the drivers side. I bought the high heat Nokya harness and just replaced it on the passenger side and left the drivers side stock. I bought a new bulb and 6 months later it melted the upgraded harness while the drivers side was still intact. I replaced the harness again after that, this time on both sides and never had an issue after a year of use. I won't be putting these bulbs on my new IS350 but it is fairly common. Those who are saying that the wheels are rubbing the fender well causing water to come in don't know there @ss from a hole in the wall. You can spary the harness all you want with water and it won't make a difference they are sealed.

I should also mention that I called Nokya to complain once it melted their upgraded harness. They asked me to send pictures which i did. I never heard back from them, I called spoke to someone who said they'd call me back and they never did. Needless to say I wouldn't recommend these bulbs to anyone they are cheap and their customer service sucks. I've used these bulbs in other cars without a problems and i've also used them in other cars with these same problems. I wouldn't risk it with such a nice car, it'd be worried they can fry the whole wiring harness which is something you don't want. Either stay stock or go with HID's.

My Nokya package says 55w on the sticker, of course also stated on the bulb. There must be different versiosn of it because I see pictures with 70w and 80w on the package sticker.

so... if nokya is so horrible, why has mine lasted 3+yrs with no harness damage, of the many members here i've installed this bulb in their cars, only 2 have come back due to a bad bulb and no harness damage when i swapped in a new set...

so what?

judd both my harnesses look like that.. idk what happened either, i bought ones that were rated at 55W and they've all burned out...and melted my harness...would you happen to know how much a new harness would cost?

and if it get HIDs, will that replace the two melted harnesses? or will i be working off of my stock harnesses?

Hey CLIS250, what kind of fog lights do you have? Aftermarket halogen or hid? Thanks.

HID 6K. I don't think that color can be achieved by halogens. LOL.
