Puddle light install
I just want to confirm that you can pop the side view mirror off without breaking it when installing the puddle lights? I saw on the Sewell video the guy did it. I guess it just pops back into place? On another thread I saw on here the person just moved the mirror and got into each corner with a screw driver. I figured I ask whats the best way, dont want to break anything. thanks

I think so. Eddiebx took some pictures and wrote up some great instructions in this thread : https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...ts-w-pics.html
Looks like you just pop em off....carefully...lol.
Good Luck!

i heard the "mirror pop-off" method isn't as easy as it's depicted in write ups or videos and if one of the brackets or hooks is off it can become a major pain. i used the "mirror positioning" method and then taking out the screws from the two outside holes-i had great success with this method, although the passenger side mirror can take a minute or two to close back together.

Popping off the mirror is easy. Or you can just use some kind of plastic opening tool and reach the clip behind the mirror to pop off. I was very nervous popping off but that's how I did it. Putting them back is a lot harder. The clips need to lineup and you need as much force to put back the mirror to housing.
I won't recommend the other method where you unscrew only the outer two screws without popping off. It's very difficult the pull apart the housing.

Brociouz,
That's because he pulled too hard on the outer side of the mirror, so he has enough room to do it. That can be seen by the crack of the mirror. The top mounts will hold the mirror in place, so by adding more force to it, it will crack. But if you pull it at the bottom of the mirror, which is the right methode to do, the mirror will pop out of the clips at the bottom and you will be able to get the mirror out. The clips requires less force to pop out compared to the force of cracking the mirror.
