You only hear the intake at higher RPMs, just as the exhaust starts to fade away. They blend together quite nicely (the F-Sport twins), making your car loud at low and high RPMs.

I don't think either is ricey, but the Tanabe is more conservative.

I certainly think they're worth. Tanabe doesn't sound ricey at all. It has a deep tone without being overly loud.

Can you elaborate on more conservative? Ive been debating on whether or not i should get exhaust or not. Both tanabe and f sport have nice tips. They are small and sporty. But I like the sound of the G35/350z and from the youtube videos..the f sport sounds closer to that. What do you think?

Actually, you won't get anything that sounds like the G35/350Z exhausts with the aftermarket exhausts. I believe this has to do with how Nissan had tuned the engines on those cars. The F-Sport will sound deeper and louder than the Tanabe. You can do a search and listen to the sound clips. There are many that has been posted here.

Conservative as in quiet basically. You really have to listen to different exhausts in person, sound clips can only give you so much info. Neither will make your car sound like a G35 though, but I guess the F-Sport comes closer.

performance-wise you may not feel any difference with either but here's my experience on the exhaust accoustics...

started with tanabe - at first i thought it was loud because i've never modded a car before, but i got used to it pretty quickly and liked its deep tone... "wooommmmm"

f-sport intake came in a few months later - no change in exhaust tone, but definitely noticed a roar at higher rpm's... "wooommmrrrrrrr"

tanabe out, f-sport exhaust in just a month ago - still deep tone but a little louder and more growl "vrrrooommmm"

i like both, but definitely like the f-sport combo better

For looks alone, I think having both the intake and exhaust are worth it. If you're looking to gain power, don't bother, since you won't be getting much. To be honest with you, I notice a slight difference with the sound with a Tanabe exhaust, but I don't really hear anything from the F-Sport intake.

I have to say its worth it. It adds a bit of aggressiveness to your car. F-sport exhaust and f-sport intake works perfectly together. Once you reach high RPMs, you will hear a deep tone from the intake. F-sport exhaust growls a bit more, but its really not that bad. I have not heard or met anyone that installed the f-sport exhaust and removed it because it was too loud or because of drone.

An alternative set up (less expensive setup too) is to go with the Joe Z intake with the tanabe exhaust. exhaust is quietier. I have seen people go from tanabe exhausts to f-sport cause it was too quiet for them.

Just like what Brociouz mentioned, the best thing to do is go to your local lexus meet n ask a CL member to listen to the exhaust from the outside, then have them take you around the block to see how it sounds like inside the car.

A loud exhaust on a slow car remind me of those old honda civic that with the giant loud fart can.

1000K just for sound? lol not worth it for Is250, I would do it if it was an IS350 though.
