Default fog light

I got out of work today and found my left fog light like this. How did this happen? More importantly, how do I fix this?

looks like someone tried to unplug it and steal it, but gave up. i'm not quite sure how to fix it either..prob. take the bumper off or put it back into place by going through the fender lining in the wheel well..

Look like you either crashed into something or someone hit you. Notice those scuffs below the fog light?

You have to take off the bumper and snap the fog light back onto the bumper.

Yeah, you should probably take the bumper off and put it back into place. If you really don't want to do that, you can try plugging the harness back in and then using a suction cup to pull it back until it pops into place. If the tabs are broken though you're SOL and will probably need to replace the housing.

there's a tab that holds the fog light in place. most likely you hit something on the fwy that pushed the fog light in. pull the fender liner and check to see if the tab on the foglight is ok... it might've snapped. that black thing isn't the harness for the fog light. i'm not sure what it does but it attaches to the side of the foglight housing.

this is what the inside of the bumper looks like (minus the metal brackets) for your reference. You can see there's not much holding the foglight in place..
