Unhappy instrumental panel tachometer and speedometer needle noise

Hey guys.. i need your advice.. please help...
ok.. yday i took my car for 35k service and all was good until when i sat in the car to start and i noticed a weird sound..

The first time wen u push the ignition .. its on and the second time wen u push it.. the lights of the instrumental panel are on.. and the needles of both the tachometer and speedometer goes frm left to right and back ..

bt i noticed yday.. that wen it did dat.. the needles made a noise as if it was scratching the panel and they were a bit slower than they used to do..

Is this normal or am i going crazy ?

and if there is a problem .. how can i solve it?

thnks in advice for you feedback...

Weird, I've never heard of anything like that.

Doubt the needles would have shifted over night

When I got my IS, I noticed the dash sounds like a damn cash register when you hit the Engine ON and OFF button. It's not a huge deal to me, but I always wondered if it was normal until I got into a loaner for a few days(2010) and it did the exact same noise...

Edit; mine does not have electronic steering wheel adjust...just the normal lever underneath to adjust.

I dont recall my car or the loaners I have driven doing that.. Ill check that out this afternoon..

I just ran out side to check this because I was too curious..
Like I thought mines 100% silent on my 2008.. only difference i can think of, I have a electronic adjusting steering wheel that tilts itself up and down when you start the car.. so thats all you can hear on my car (tested a few times to make sure)..
And the 2 2010 loaners I drover were both standard features but were also silent on the instrument panel..

Love starting my car early in the morning (5:30am) with the radio off and hearing the motor purr as it starts up..

mine does the same thing, get it checked because the led's in your needles are probably about to go out as well.
