It's either this or cutting the wires behind the nav. People take this route because it's plug n play. Also, because it won't void your warranty. They're legit and everything works by the way if that's what you're asking.

What car do you have? I love mine because with the ML it allows you to watch DVDs without having the car in park which helps keep folks busy during long trips.

also i believe if you do the wire car you will not have the unlimited play time for video like the PS kit gives you. If you have ML its well worth it for the video alone.

Has anyone taken the control from this unit and wired it to a rocker panel in place of one of the blanks or the change holder (on the left hand side of the steering wheel)?

Check this thread for mounting locations: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...stalled-8.html

Also this thread: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...weekend-2.html

Post #18 in the second thread I linked to comes close to what you're talking about, but it's not completely flush (and the wire is sticking out - see below). I'm trying to make it 100% flush and will post pics if/when I get it done.

Yeah I saw those threads and those pictures. I guess what I was curious about is if someone cut off the Prestigious Society switch and wired it to a rocker panel. I've heard good things about the device, but I think I would want something more OEM looking...and to be frank...I'm not very good on the electrical side anymore...although I have a feeling a rocker switch would be an easy replacement (but then again I don't own the device so I don't know for sure).

Anyway...just my random thoughts....

^ That's where mine is right now. Works pretty well, but I'd like to have it a little higher up to see the indicator lights.

The NAV kit is great. Been using it for 3+ years without fail (or crashn' my ride)

I installed mine next to the rear shade just like in post # 8.
