Default 4 year warranty about to end - any tips?

The basic 4 year warranty on my 2007 IS350 is about to end. Are there any things I should inspect, or any parts of the car that might be prone to having problems that I might not know about?

Any one have experience with the extended warranty? Is it worth it?

You'll be fine, I know enough people with 80-100k+ with absolutely no issues regarding warranty.

You can but the extended 100,000 for 1400$$, Id say go ahead an do it because if you think about it....If ANYTHING does go wrong....its SUPER expensive to fix because Lexus is a high end car, the warranty will most likely pay for it self, and if nothing goes wrong and you spent the money then...at least you were prepared.

May be worth getting the extended warranty at this point if you intend to keep the car.

I just got my ext.warranty a couple weeks before my warranty expired. I look at it this way, it's pretty much a 50K car with tons of electronics/gizmos and such that when one of those things breaks or give you problems, it will cost some decent cash. Might as well pay the extra for a ext. to keep the worries away. I figure with the ext. I'm still covered a couple years after I'm done paying it off.

Does anyone know if you can get an extended warranty if your basic 4yr expired already?

How long does the extended warranty extend the warranty for? 3 years?

Depends which you buy. For the lexus ones you can get anywhere from 6 year (so 2 additional years) to 8 year (4 additional years) and mileage limits anywhere from 75k to 125k (for the platinum ones at least).

I say get it.

Had all 4 of my door lock actuators go bad and it was all taken care of.

It has already paid for itself.

There are a couple of dealers that offer it for $1300-$1500.

I believe I bought mine from Toby Rivers.
