thanks mike!
i guess air wouldn't be the way to go for me.. as i'm in canada and you know canadian winters![Stick Out Tongue](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
i was just thinking i can make my IS like the audi all-road!![Big Grin](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
if it's a snow day then stock awd height
other days i'll be lowered. but i guess air won't be as reliable here in canada where it can get mad cold!
i guess my choice would be coils and springs then
hmmm..

The unbalanced issue is that the rear will sit lower than the front. Also many 2IS's have a problem with one side of the car sitting slightly higher than the other. Coilovers can be adjusted for height thereby allowing you to raise or lower each side as necessary.

thanks kuuqi and PaPaHoFF
then i guess air may cause me more headaches in the long run perhaps?
i don't think i wanna be panicking each day worried about things not working in the car
so i guess my best bet is to get coilovers for the awd IS
anyone have experience on the drive on coilovers compared to stock?

roadmagnet springs for awd is a 2" drop although idk about ride quality, H&R is a 1.6F and a 1.4R drop thus keeping the front lower than the rear and its what i personally have and love. definitely helped with body roll and with some 19" rims and spacers im flush with pinky finger gap in the fenders

just to remind you
when it comes to a time you'll have to take it off and send it back and let them rebuild it
(well i dunno if BC needs to send it back or something)
but just to let you have an idea first
it all depends on how/where you drive and how low you go
(but you probably won't have to rebuild it like a year or 2 I guess)
(well if anything is wrong please let me know since i don't have coils....)

Man Canadian winters can be brutal, when I used to live in Toronto during 97, the winter was like -40 C.... which is exactly -40 F too, having the garage warmer than the outside temp can be a potential issue.

On another note yea bcrs are great when it comes to needing replacement cartridges since you don't need to get them rebuilt.
I've had road magnet springs on my car too. 2 inch drop and way better handling then stock.

i got bcrs and the ride comfort was my main concern but it really isnt that bad. plus when i was researching coils people said bcrs are closest to stock you can get in this price range. plus u dont have to send em in to get them rebuilt. thats always a plus! oh and they go pretty low too!
