Yes, and VPIS350, there was a witness behind me that told me he had hit other cars too and was driving recklessly around that area. & this happened at beltline /dallasparky, around 2:30am.

saturday night, a witness followed me and called the cops for me, but he said they couldn't do anything. the next day was sunday, so the police station is closed. and my insurance came to look at my car today, my witness told them everything.

Aw, sorry to see your car like this. I got into an accident this past Saturday. The dude I hit was being a pain in the butt.
here's some pics of my car: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...-cruising.html
I hope the dude pays for what he's done to your car!

That sucks, hope everything gets resolved. i just dont understand why you didnt call the cops your self and had them arrest this guy. Did you happen to be under the influence as well? To me thats the only explanation why you didnt do that. GL with everything.

The thing is the cops were already called, there was a witness that followed me off an exit and i got out my car to talk to him, he told me he called the cops to find that guy before that guy even hit me because he had already hit someone else.
He told me because i left the scene of the accident, there was nothing that the cops could do.

I would have called the cops while chasing that guy and not let him leave my sight THAT night. And that's IF I didn't drag him out of his car and devastate him first. This kind if SHlT infuritates me!!!

Sorry to see/hear about your loss. I work for an insurance company and I must say, you should get this handled ASAP. If he runs out and gets his truck repaired real quick you have no proof of loss besides the damage to your vehicle. If his insurance co can't match up the damage btw his and your vehicle it's word vs. word and they will side with their insured, which basically means you are screwed. Good luck man, again, sorry for your loss.

Yeah I remember I was rear-ended one time. Granted this was due to snow so the dodge caravan behind me locked up and hit me. I asked if she was okay, said I was going to call the cops and we should stay in the car because we were stuck on the fast lane of the highway during the start of a snowstorm.
As I called 911, she drove off! I said to the police on the phone going "sooo uhh she's driving off right now...do you want her plate number?" They got it down, i called my insurance and that was the end of it. I had to file a police report the next day but no other bits of paperwork.
Hope this works out for you like it did for me.
