Totally agree as well... more choices for the consumer.

I agree with this statement but in looking at the website, it does state that it comes with a f sport-tuned suspension and steering.

I guess a for sure way to know if this is different from the F sport parts to the ISx50 with the sport package to the ISF is to review and part numbers.

Does anyboyd have access to check the part numbers across the line for the suspension and the steering? If the suspension is actually different, then supposedly, Lexus will have 5 different suspension set ups.
1. regular suspension on ISx50
2. ISx50 with sport package
3. ISF
4. F sport parts (sold a la carte)
5. ISx50 with F sport pakage (in question)

The only parts you really need are the suspension (shocks, sway kit, springs), and the exhaust/intake.. That ran me ~5K. It was way worth it for me. ISF is too expensive. Though I would love to get it. The F-sport brakes are way pricey. So unless you like to drop 4g's on breaks. skip it. Factory is still good.

he he he

Powerslides are impossible with the big tires and little engine, but this car scorches our track with handling numbers that exceed the performance of the mighty IS-F. No, we're not kidding. This IS runs 71 mph through our slalom, circles our skid pad at 0.89g of lateral grip and stops from 60 mph in just 109 feet.

The last IS-F we tested managed 70.2 mph in the slalom, recorded 0.93g on the skid pad and stopped from 60 mph in 112 feet.
wow!

We couldn't believe it either. But the best part is the F Sport's highway ride. If you bought an IS-F, you're probably a regular at the chiropractor by now, but this IS actually rides well, and there's even less impact harshness than in a stock IS 250.

Credit goes to Bilstein for the impressive all-round tuning of the F Sport dampers. They are wonderfully matched with the shorter, progressive-rate springs (1 inch shorter in front; 0.7 inch shorter in the rear). Since the 2008 Lexus IS 250's stock springs are not progressive, the new springs are initially more compliant, which helps deliver that silky ride, but they firm up nicely deeper in their travel and keep the sedan off its bump stops.

@Bam: if you really particular about suspension, just change it. the f-sport package is an additional 4k i believe. maxwber says it took him 5k for all his upgrades...only getting the suspension would be less than that.

The reason i took the f-sport package was simply because it looked nice. I bought it for my wife and if i drive it once in a while, i wouldn't mind because it looks nice (yes, im that shallow).

I think the best way is that you test drive it, if you like the f sport, buy it (its your money anyway) if don't like how it handles then don't. imo, lexus cars are very nice cars and very fun to drive and i am sure you'll never go wrong buying whatever model or package.

Is there an update to what performance upgrades the "F-Sport Package" has and if the P/Ns are the same as the current offering of F-Sport accessories?

I know that there are upgraded shocks and springs in the package but I'm wondering if the sways and chassis brace are also different from stock and if the parts are exclusive only to the "F-Sport Package" as it is claimed to be tuned by the people that tuned the LF-A...
