Those who bought extended warranty to 100k already have the power train. So there for they get the $500 visa card instead. That why not everyone gets it.

I called once already and they told me too bad. It was a complimentary gesture and they didn't have to do this, take what you are given.

Imagine that.

I have a 2006 so an extended warranty (expires 11/16/2011) is pretty worthless to me.

I will express my frustration in writing and if that doesn't work, all those excellent marks Lexus always get for customer service will be downgraded.

I can sort of see your frustration, if you are not in the market for a new Lexus the $1,500 goodwill gesture isn't worth anything. But if you were king what would you have Lexus do for you? What are you looking for to comp you for the inconvenience you have had with your IS? Money, service credits, something else? If I was Lexus Corp sitting in Torrance I'd be wondering what else they should do. They have to balance a 'making things right' gesture and just throwing money away.

How long does it take to receive the complimentary letter to extend the powertrain warranty and maybe the gift card from Lexus USA? I got my value spring recall done about a week and a half ago and no sign of that letter yet.

I read someone on this thread got theirs like 2-3 days afterwards. Where is mine??

Letter does not seem to be tied to actually getting the work done. I haven't had mine done yet but have received the $1,500 certificate and the promise of a $500 gift card later. Call them up.

Oh really, darn guess I have to call then. BTW, to you have the paid extended warranty plan since you got the $500 gift card?

Take back my $1,500 certificate and my "extended" warranty and give me the $500 gift card instead.

I'd love this as well. Extending the warranty on my 06 isnt doing me much good since it expires in less than a year anyway. I'd much rather have a $500 gift certificate to use on the sway bars and lower springs. I wouldnt even mind having to pay the dealer to put them on afterwards.

Did anyone fill out that "Service Follow Up" form that asks you to rate your experience? I wonder if there's any correlation with that and receiving the $500 gift card...

^^ the service follow up survey is for the dealership...that is how they feel out upset customers before they get the Lexus survey...no correlation with the $500

1. Everyone will have an extension on their powertrain warranty, an extra year and she was unclear on the mileage.
2. Everyone will get the certificate towards the purchase of a new car.
3. Depending on the "smoothness" of your experience with the recall, the gift voucher will vary (she told me the least amount was $500). If it takes forever and they mess up your car, you will be given more for the inconvenience.

These vouchers are being sent out by Lexus Financial, and she said that if you don't get anything mailed in a "timely manner" then call them at 1-800-874-7050. Sounds like they really want to keep us happy in our cars, and a new F-sport exhaust or sways just might do that!
This is very much appreciated.

I received my letter in the mail today. I am looking forward on having it done and the extra perks as far as the $1500 certificate and the $500 gift card. One thing that bugs me is that I do not have an extended warranty and my mfgr warranty expired about 6k miles ago. So I hope I get all of the perks listed above. I wonder if you can sell of the $1500 certificate bc I am not buying another vehicle anytime soon.
