Hello CL after my valve recall..Lexus offer a extended waranty on my IS350 for 7yr or 100miles waranty free of charge=) Since i i finance my car from lexus.

Just dropped off the car today... Hoping all goes well. I haven't gotten any letter about gift card or extended warranty.. Just the recall letter so far, and that was like 3 months ago.

Also, had two other recalls which I assume they are doing.. The pedal and master cylinder ones.z

they finished mine in a day, I haven't received a letter about the extended warranty or the 500 so i am going to call Lexus if i do not receive it within another week.

Taking mine into Sewell Friday.. I get a loaner so I'm kinda anxious.. This is the first time going to the dealership with my Lex so is there anything I should mention while I'm there? No warranty and 81 on the clock.

This is beginning to annoy me. I received the valve spring recall notice in early November and scheduled the service for November 22. Everything went fine, I got a car wash, and a full tank of gas (thanks, Lexus!). I didn't receive an extended warranty. At around the same time in early November, I received the "Thank You from Lexus," dated 11/5/2010, stating that enclosed was a $1500 certificate towards a new Lexus purchase. It also mentioned that I would be receiving a $500 gift card "in the next few weeks" for the purchase of parts or services. Weeks pass and no card is received. I email Lexus Customer Service mid-December to ask about the delay and they replied a few days later stating that they don't have a definitive time frame as to when the gift card should arrive. I call Lexus today to inquire more about the delay. Some clown tells me "if it says you'll receive the gift card in the letter, you should be getting it in the next few weeks...sir." Apparently they've been backed up in mailing the cards out, which I can understand. But 2+ months? (WTF, Lexus?)

i got a call this morning from the dealership cancelling my apt and putting me on the wait list since they are backed up on parts or some bs excuse, now i gotta wait longer to get this done

2IS noob here... is this recall for all the years? My gf has an 07 IS250 and my friend has an 09 IS350 I believe. Im going to let them both know about it if its for all years of the 2IS.

I believe the 250 is not affected, only the 350.

as mentioned, it's the 06-08 IS350

details and other lexus models recalled HERE

Questions though, since i just recently bought my IS350 the last few weeks, I don't know if i'll actually get the recall notice in the mail (and hence the $500 GC)

I think I'll just call and make an apointment, free tank of gas is great but $500 at sewell would be better

same boat as you... calling offered no help, other than the suggestion to stay patient and callback in a few weeks

Just called Lexus customer service and they are going to be sending out my Gift Card since I had already purchased the extended warranty. No need for duplicate coverage.... F-Sport sway bars here I come.
