Now that's interesting about the extended warranty .... how long is the extension? Did owners in the USA have a choice of gift card or extended warranty?
From a legal point of view, if they have extended the warranty for some, they would likely be obligated to honor it for anyone else that has an issue later (related to that specific recall).

(and a few folks claim they got both I think?)
The 'extension' actually added no time to the warranty at all, but moved it from 70k to 100k miles.

You could find someone who wants to spend the $, buy stuff and ship to them... maybe give em a 5-10% discount and still get decent cash out.
Easier than trying to buy something then ebay it, because between the lower price you'd have to ebay it for, plus the ebay fees, you're likely gonna lose more than 5-10% anyway.

You need to call 1-800-25-LEXUS and give them your VIN number and information. Do not assume that because you didn't get a GC, that it means that your aren't entitled to a GC. Call them and they will tell you if it is owed to you.

WEWT!!! just got my gift card yesterday and PROMPTLY ordered the rear sway, 60k service kit (spark plugs etc), 2010 map update and a drive belt cause I know I'm gonna need it.
WIth the club lexus discount at sewell.com I was able to get it out the door with shipping for 497!!

Does anyone know why the Canadian gift card is only $250??? Are they using an exchange rate from 1952?
We pay more for our cars up here but we get 50% less for the gift card? Damn, why do we always get the shaft?

Just got off the phone with Lexus. Only certain locations got the gift card. Florida where I live did not. I did receive a $2k voucher which I used to lease a new 2011 IS250C combined that with the 1K loyalty. I did not put any money out. The lady did ask me if I received notification about a gift voucher, I told her I did not but I sense if I had told her yes; she would have given me one. But that would have been dishonest. She never asked me about any extended warranty.
