leave the lips alone. Adds contrast. I'd say match the grill color and you'll have the same look as the grill and grille surround with the chrome. Good luck!
heres something to think about: the cv1 had 3 sides to each spoke, polish the top and paint the 2sides? or paint the top polish the 2sides OR paint the top one color and the 2sides a different color...
Gun metal and leave the lip chrome or polished(whatever it is). Unless you plan on blacking out all the chrome on your car which I doubt and hope you don't do on gfm, keep the lip shiny to match. Also, I HIGHLY recommend powder coating vs paint. I learned the hard way.
