Default Flickering HID - WTF????

So I installed the HID kit on my Girl's IS this morning - all was well - install went sweet - everything works - but now at Night - the right side is not like evenly spreading as the left side is - also the damn thing is flickering.

Anybody has some advice for me? is it the bulb?

thanks in advance,
Ron

What brand is the kit? Did you run a relay? Does the driver side flicker too?

Very first time i installed my kit, i got flickering too, but after re-install it's not, i think it could be due to loose wiring...make sure everything is tight. Reinstall is on the cards.

If you went the ebay route and bought poor brand HIDS they will flicker. Best idea is to consult your vendor.

It also can be a bad ballast. I had where it was flickering or the bulb wouldn't fire. after a ballast replacement no more flickering or bulb firing issues

not that it matters, but why not buy from the CL vendors all of whom provide awesome product support?

double check your connections and ballasts, make sure they are tight and working properly. if they look fine, its probably due to a lack of a relay harness. you can usually buy those separate if need be.

most likely bad ballast. those xentec kits are garbage from eBay. i ordered 2 sets, returned both sets cause they both flickered and went bad again so tried for another return and the seller never responded back to me. had to get eBay CS to help me get my money back, which was crap since they didnt cover for the shipping back both times.

oftentimes if you don't rotate the bulb into the full lock position in the headlight housing the light output will be diminished.

make sure when you insert the bulb it turns all the way over
