Default Leasing IS250 deals? need help pls

Hi everyone, im new here. HI

I did a search all over and couldnt find any current info so i thought id ask it here.

Im trying to lease a very bare bones stripped base of the base IS250 models for my wife so she can get to work.

We went to one dealer only in SoCAL and they told us, it would be about $480/month (including taxes and reg), with 0 down, and 12kmiles.

I see on the LEXUS.COM website the current lease special on the IS250 is 0 down and $439/month. So, the 480 sounds about right with taxes factored in.

Regardless, i think that 439/month for a stripped model is waay too much but the dealer is saying that 439 is the internet offer and they CANNOT go below that price. IS THIS A LIE? I feel that they can do better...

Truecar.com says a base model average price is 29kish..and dealer is quoting me 35k...so, if the dealer can go down to 29k for the car, then, shouldnt i be able to get a better $0 down deal than 439/mo + tax??

My question to all you experienced leasers out there, would $375/month, (including taxes), 12kmiles, with ZERO down be asking for too much? is this an unreasonable bid?

thank you so much for your input!

According to me dealer: The problem is... there is no gutted bare IS250/350.

Reason: It is a luxury car so there is a minimum package installed with a few options.

The cheapest way to go is a no-Nav and premium package value. MSRP adds to around 36K with wheel locks, mats, cargo net, rear bumper guard, rear spoiler for me.

If you're think about a 2011 IS250, dealers are not gonna budge that much. It's a NEW car... you are better off finding a 2010 IS250.

By the way... this is for purchase. I never leased a car because I usually drive it forever.

Yea, im looking to lease, not purchase...basically a commuter car so it can be base...has anyone had any leasing deals lately they could share? Even with the basic, no nav and premium pkg, i feel like they are gouging me on the monthly pmt.

Truecar.com says it should be 29k vs. 36k sticker

The MSRP, including destination charges for the base IS250 Auto is over 34,000. And as shawdowman stated, they are few if any true base models out there.

Your best bet may be to find a 2010 leftover, which can be had at invoice and currently carry a $3000 dealer cash rebate.
