I was looking through eBay one day and came across this Custom enclosure and wondered if anyone has this or think it would be good to use.

It would probably be ok. The problem is that different subs have different volumes for optimal volume and sound. You might want to do a bit more research. That box would work, but you could build your own box that would also accomodate your amp too and have the exact specs your woofers need for that price. And if you're going for the higher end speakers, I personally wouldn't go less the 3/4" (2cm) for the thickness of the MDF. In my own experience, the thicker compound usually has better resonance. Do it custom, do it right.

so its been awhile since I had a stereo in my whip but can you leave the regular stereo unit w/ navigation in the dash and just add the subs with an amp? ...all of this without replacing the head unit?

Two things that worry me:
- 3/4" and 1/2" MDF Construction
- Sealed air tight with liquid nails caulk
IMO, when using MDF, sub enclosures should use at least 3/4" mdf all around, other than for bracing.
Liquid nails is not the best option for bonding wood. Wood glue works best

send the ebay vender a message and ask him to build it to whatever specs you need. id even ask him to use thicker wood and wood glue if thats something you want also. im sure hell do whatever you want and just adjust the price accordingly. I run a 10w6v2 and a jl 500/1 and its perfect.
