Nice 355, I f'n love those cars. I have to ask (hope you don't mind), what's it cost to drop the engine and service the timing belt?

LoL....are you sitting down?

The (every 3-5yr) engine-out service costs about $7500 from a dealer and around $5k from an independent shop.

Damn baller.... that's insane but I'm sure it's worth it every time you fire it up and take it for a rip.

Suffice to say there is nothing like feeling and hearing that 375hp Italian 8-cylinder symphony behind my head after a bad day....

Super clean setup, love it!

For those wondering, the 4080 enclosure looks like this:

I checked out their website and it's no longer listed. I'm assuming it's been discontinued.

I was told that doing this will void your warranty...splicing into the factory system will do that. What is ur take on this?

It might void the warranty for any components that were directly affected by the splicing, but the dealer can't say your ENTIRE warranty is void because of it. That would be illegal.

I was looking at a mid 90s 345 as a daily driver til I found out about the timing belt 30k mile service. Thats about a year and a half for me so I bought my IS350C.

I am a huge fan of the new ALpine PDX-Series amps; I have their 4x100 powering a set of $1000 Focal separates in my 355.

They are clean, digital, and tiny as hell.
You can never "over power" a subwoofer. You can however "under power" a speaker. Also all a "bass ****" dose it adjust distortion. They are horriable to use. Ask your installer to remove it and add something like an audio control LC6 or similar audio processor to adjust the levels and help with the over all clarity. Your source could also have something to do with it I.E cell phone,iPod,etc. clean install.
