My friends 06/07 IS250 needs an update for the gps. I found this person locally on craigslist in Houston, but dont know if its legit or not. What do you guys think?

hmm i wouldnt do it. for a price like that, it seems to be a copy of the original disk (again i have no idea, i just speculate that because of the low price). There are a lot of members on this forum who have created copies of the navi disk, but from what I read, the disk usually only works for about a week, if they work at all that is. After that, the navi freezes up.

Yeah I was afraid it might be a copy and unreliable.

I don't mind using a copy one as long as it works. Who would want to pay $250 for a over priced updated maps?

i DL'd the updated version and burned a dual layer disc for my fx35, works perfectly. I may have to try it in the IS

I'd go with the copy. You got a choice of spending $75 or $5. Im running a copy in my navi for about 6 mths now, and never had a problem.

That one is an original, but it's version 9.1 - Not the latest version which is 10.1.
