You do have to go with the 8 (NOT the 8.5) all the way around--NOT the staggered setup (every Lexus dealer I spoke with said the same thing).

I put Michellin Pilot Sport A/S+ 225/40ZR18 tires on it and, no, I am not going to lower it until I see how it handles in th snow this winter. If it does ok I may put the F-Sport lowering springs on--but that's it.
I believe you mean mean the G-Spider! About the lowering, you may want to consider the shocks too. From this post here (not sure if you have seen it, looks like F-Springs alone may not be so well. Also I use Michellin Pilot Sport A/S for my 2007 IS 250 AWD as well - in my case 225/45ZR17 for the 17" stock wheels.

Good that you are going to address the problem. It is better than ruining the differentials which could cost thousands of dollars in repairs for using incorrect tires/wheels in comparison to spending money on using correct tires/wheels which is cheaper. Also need to take in consideration that the differentials do have tolerences probably like in the hundreds, thousands or even microns therefore, it is in best interest to do what is correct for the vehicle.

Do you have a pic your vehicle to show us?

I couldn't tell from the driver's side, but from the passenger side, I can see that the rims on the front and rear look banged up. Probably some nice curb artwork there.

Nice car!!

What lights are those? Looks like 6K HID and LED fog and Parking Lights.

When I initially saw "G-Star", I was a bit startled but luckly I had a Lexus IS 2010 catalog on my desk and started flipping pages to see what it is because I seen it there but not with that particular title lol! In any case, yes the G-Spier wheels look fantastic.

I plan to get 18" when I get a new IS (dream car) which would be special built and have it come with the 18" Split 5-Spoke - Hyper Silver.

Thanks! Yeah the previous owner to my knowledge was an old man in his 60s, guess he couldn't park well. The lights are top and bottom DDM Tuning 8K and the Vleds park light. Can't really see them in the day time but at night there literally blinding. I adjusted my headlight too far up, I have to bring it down some.
